How we protect clients
Nail Anatomy does not use credo blades, razor-type callus shavers, cutters, scrapers, graters or other implements intended to cut or remove layers of skin. Georgia Board rules prohibit these implements to reduce the chance of injury or infection.
Cosmetology services are performed only when the service area appears intact and suitable for non-medical cosmetic care. A service may be modified, postponed or declined when visible concerns fall outside our scope.
Reusable, nonporous implements are cleaned and disinfected between clients according to product directions. Porous or single-use supplies are discarded after one client and are not reused.
Georgia’s required client notice advises clients not to shave their legs on the same day as a pedicure. This precaution helps reduce the chance of irritation or infection.
Nail Anatomy does not diagnose, prescribe, treat disease or infection, perform surgery or remove ingrown toenails. Cosmetic restoration does not treat the underlying cause of a nail change.
Service is deferred when concerns require clinical evaluation. Clients may be encouraged to contact a physician, dermatologist or podiatrist, including the Foot & Ankle Institute of Georgia or a provider of their choice.
